How to play Hand and Foot
  • Everyone gets a Hand of 11 cards and a Foot of 11 face down. Play through your Hand first, then pick up your Foot.
  • On your turn, draw 2 from the stock (or pick up the pile), play what you can, then discard one card.
  • You play cards in stacks of 3 to 7 of one rank. 2s and Jokers are wild, but natural cards must outnumber them. Threes can't be played.
  • Seven cards make a book: clean (no wilds) is worth 600, dirty is worth 300.
  • Your first play each round must add up to 50, 75, 100, then 150 points. Put down several stacks at once to get there.
  • Once the pile has at least 5 cards, you can pick up the top 5 if you have two of its top card in your hand, or that card already on the table. Wild cards count as one kind: a 2 or Joker on top needs two wilds in your hand, or a wild on your stacks. The cards go into your hand, and the top one (marked Must play) has to be played before you discard. A black 3 on top freezes the pile.
  • Red 3s are worth 100 once you play them, and you can only play them once your team is in the game. Each one you put down is replaced from the stock. One still in your hand at the end of the round counts 100 against you. A black 3 left in your hand costs 500.
  • To go out you must be in your Foot with a clean and a dirty book, then discard your last card. In 2v2, both partners must be in their Foot and the team needs 2 clean and 2 dirty books.
  • Scoring: book bonuses plus the cards you played, minus the cards left in your hand and foot. Most points after 4 rounds wins.

Card values: Joker 50 · 2 and Ace 20 · 8 to King 10 · 4 to 7 5. Tip: drag cards onto your play area, a stack or the discard pile, or select them and press Play (or tap a stack to add to it). Use − and + at the top of the table to change the card size.
